Yesterday we told you about the acquisition of Learn.com for $125 million. This follows big prices paid for Team.com, Mint.com (see a rebroadcast of my post below). Now TechCrunch reports that Salary.com has sold for $80 million. In all cases development is key because they are selling the perfect combination of a cloud software application and the brand name that describes it to a "t". This is not about search stats or Estibot scores. It's about ADVERTISING and BRANDING. The names ARE an ad so no advertising is needed.
This is the future of domaining to the next level for people with the best prospective names who got it early like him and them.
